Our double-sided Printed Gatefold Wedding Invitations give you plenty of space to include all the details your guests need, with the added impact of metallic foil.

Available in gold, silver, copper or rose gold, foiling can be used for as much or as little of the design as you like. From subtle highlights to full foil designs, it adds a striking finish that really stands out.

Each invitation includes envelopes as standard, with the option to add matching inserts, tags, sleeves, stickers and envelope liners to complete your set. You can choose what information goes on each part, and we can adjust the layout or design to suit your wording.

All of our designs are fully customisable, and we can also adapt any of our other stationery to match your chosen style.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES?
Yes, everything is fully customisable.

You can change the wording, adjust the layout, choose which elements are foiled, or request colour and design tweaks. Whether you are ordering for a wedding or another event, we can tailor the design to suit.

Our photos show just one example of what is possible. If you like the format but would prefer a different design, or if you already have your own artwork, you are very welcome to send it over and we can advise on suitability.

VARIATIONS EXPLAINED
Your invitation is the double-sided printed gatefold card, printed on both sides with foiling included. It arrives flat and pre-creased, ready for you to fold.

Additional cards can be placed inside before inserting into the envelope provided. Please read the options below for full details of each variation.

Foil Colour
We offer gold, rose gold, copper and silver foiling. If you would like to see the different foil colours in person, you can order a Generic Sample from any foiling listing. Just add a note to request additional foil swatches and we will include them with your sample.

Card Colour
Digital foiling requires a smooth card surface to achieve a clean, crisp finish. We currently offer three options:

Warm White 340gsm
Our recommended choice for foiling. It is exceptionally smooth, slightly thicker than our other options, and has a soft off white tone that works beautifully with foil.

Smooth White 330gsm
A bright, clean white card with a smooth finish. This is a great option if you prefer a crisp, modern look with strong contrast against the foil.

Smooth Ivory 330gsm
A noticeably deeper ivory tone, darker than warm white. It gives a warmer, more traditional look while still providing a smooth surface suitable for foiling.

If you are unsure, we always recommend ordering a sample to see the card and foil finish in person.

Please note, cardstock can vary slightly between batches as manufacturers occasionally make small changes. The sample swatch card included with sample orders is the best representation of current stock.

Invite Size
Choose from three finished sizes: square, 5 x 7 or A5. All sizes are when the invitation is folded. Full dimensions, including open sizes and additional card sizes, can be found in the sizing tab.

Day or Evening
This option is used to separate different versions of your invitations, for example day and evening guests, different timings or different languages.
Each version must be ordered as a separate variation and is subject to the minimum order quantity. The wording does not have to say “Evening”, it is simply a way for us to organise different batches within your order.

Order Type
Invite Only
This is the double-sided printed gatefold invitation on its own, without any additional cards.

Invite + 1 Card
Add one additional card to include extra information such as RSVP details, menus, guest information or gift messages. These cards can be single- or double-sided, with or without foiling, and are fully customised to suit your design.

Square printed gatefold invitations include small square additional cards. 5 x 7 and A5 printed gatefold invitations include A6 additional cards.

Invite + 2 Cards
As above, with two additional cards included. If you require more than two, please get in touch.

We do not recommend foiling very small text, such as menu choices, as foil can be harder to read due to its reflective finish.

Personalised Guest Names
We can print your guest names onto your invitations for you. You can choose where the names are placed and which font you would like us to use, so they fit seamlessly with your chosen design.

Sleeve/Tag
Choose whether you would like to add a sleeve or tag, with or without foiling. Additional options will appear depending on your selection.
-    Sleeves (belly bands) are available in warm white, smooth white or transparent vellum. Please note, ivory is not available for sleeves.
-    Tags are available in warm white, smooth white or smooth ivory card.

Printing on Back of Additional Card
If you would like printing on the reverse of one additional card, select this option. If you require printing on the back of more than one additional card, please get in touch and we can arrange this for you.
Printing on the back of the main invitation is already included as standard.

Alternative Email Addresses You Might Use
If you may send information from a different email address, for example a partner’s or a work email, please list them here. This helps us match any additional details you send to the correct order.

ENVELOPE OPTIONS
Envelope Colour
Kraft brown envelopes are included as standard. A range of other colours is also available to choose from.

We have carefully selected our envelopes for their quality and finish, while keeping them at a sensible price point. If you are looking for a specific colour not listed, feel free to ask and we will do our best to source it for you.

Please note, not all colours are available in every size, and some may occasionally be discontinued by our suppliers. We will always contact you if your chosen option becomes unavailable.

Addressed Invitation Envelopes
If you would prefer not to handwrite your envelopes, we can print the addresses for you.

We will need your addresses provided in a spreadsheet or table format. Each envelope should be on one line, with each line of the address in a separate column. If you are unsure, just ask and we can send you a template with instructions.

Please note, this service is not available on darker envelopes such as navy, black or forest green, as we are unable to print light text onto dark backgrounds.

Envelope Liner
Envelope liners are available on smooth warm white or smooth white paper and are designed to match your chosen invitation. They can be supplied loose, pre-cut and creased for you to insert yourself, or fully assembled where we fit them into each envelope for you.

If you would prefer a different design to complement your invitations, just add a note to your order. You can also browse our other liner designs for ideas.

Liners are sized to fit our v flap envelopes and are not available for our Premium White peel and seal envelopes. Please note, envelope liners are not foiled.

Add Peel & Seal Wax Seals
Add a peel and seal wax seal for a classic finishing touch. These are easy to apply and give a clean, polished look. If you are looking for a specific design or colour, please get in touch to discuss custom options.

Matching Sticker to Seal Your Envelope
Add a matching sticker to seal your envelopes and tie your stationery together. It gives a subtle hint of the design inside while keeping everything coordinated from the moment your guests receive it.

Choose from heart shaped stickers, or round matt, gloss or transparent options. The design can be customised to match your invitation. Additional stickers can also be ordered separately if required. If you would like your stickers to be foiled, please contact us separately for a quote.

RSVP OPTIONS
Rsvp Envelope
RSVP envelopes are sized to fit the smaller additional cards. They cannot be personalised, as they are too small to run through our printers. 

RSVP Envelope Colour
Kraft brown is included as standard, or you can choose from our range of alternative colours.

RSVP Envelope Liner
We can create matching envelope liners for your RSVP envelopes (without foiling). These are designed to coordinate with your invitation, although you are welcome to choose a different design if you prefer. Just let us know when ordering.

They can be supplied loose for you to insert yourself, or pre-assembled where we fit them into each envelope for you. We will use a matching paper to your main envelope liners as standard. Please refer to the invitation envelope liner section above for colour details.

Your Text
Use this box to add any notes about your order if you wish. You can also email your wording to us afterwards at your convenience. If you need to send images, such as a QR code, please email these separately as files cannot be uploaded through our website.

Quantity
There is a minimum order of 30 per variation, for example day invitations, evening invitations or different languages. We recommend ordering a few extra invitations to allow for any late additions, as smaller reprints can be more costly.

Please note, you only need one invitation per couple or household, not per person!

All sizes are approximate. 

Envelope sizes are produced with a tolerance of around ±2mm. During manufacturing, machinery naturally warms up which can cause slight expansion in metal components. Over time, general wear in parts such as cylinders and bearings can also lead to small shifts in cutting and scoring positions. Because of this, finished envelopes may vary slightly in size.

Placing Your Order
Create your invitation set by selecting the relevant options from the drop-down menus. You can include your wording with your order or email it to us afterwards at contact@vintageprints.co.uk at your convenience.

Sending Your Information
Once your order is placed, we will use the details you have provided to create your design. If you need to send anything additional, such as images or a QR code, please email these to us.
If you have not heard from us within 3 working days of placing your order, please get in touch. We always send a separate email to confirm your order.

Proofs and Amendments
We will send you a digital proof within 2 to 3 working days. This allows you to check all wording, layout and design before anything is printed.

You are welcome to request changes, and we offer unlimited amendments within reason. Please note that foil text can be harder to read due to its reflective finish, and very small text may be less clear.

Checking Your Proofs
Please check your proofs carefully to ensure all details are correct. This includes wording, spelling, layout and any elements you have requested such as additional cards, sleeves, stickers or addressed envelopes.

If something is not shown on your proof, it has not been included. Even if it was mentioned in an earlier message, you must let us know before approval. We always recommend asking a friend or family member to proofread as well.

Approval and Printing
Nothing goes to print without your approval. Once you confirm that you are happy with your proofs, your order will be sent to print.

Production Time
Orders are typically printed within 6 to 7 working days after proof approval. The full process usually takes around 2 weeks plus delivery time, depending on how many amendments are made.
