Printed generic samples allow you to see the quality of the card, print and digital foiling before placing your full order. The sample you receive will be the design shown, along with swatches of your chosen card and foil colours where applicable. Foil Save the Dates are available in A7 Mini, A6 and 5 x 7 inches. We may occasionally include additional samples or swatches in your order so you can compare options and choose the combination that works best for your stationery. Please note that printed generic samples are not personalised.

If you would like to see exactly how your own details will look, you can choose a personalised sample. This option allows us to produce a fully printed Save the Date featuring your names and wedding information so you can see the finished piece with real details rather than placeholder text. Personalised samples are printed using the foil colour that is already set up on our machine at the time of production, as changing foil colours requires additional setup time. In most cases this will be gold foil as it is our most popular colour. If your preferred foil colour is already on the machine when your sample is produced we may use that colour instead. If not, we will include foil swatches so you can still see the exact shade and finish of the other available colours. This option is ideal if you would like complete confidence in the layout, foiling and overall finish before committing to your full order.

A paper sizes follow a simple scale where each size is half the size of the one above it. For example, A6 is half the size of A5, and A7 is half the size of A6. We also offer a slightly larger 5 x 7 inch option, which gives a more statement style Save the Date.

Our Save the Dates are available in three sizes:

Mini: A7 (approx. 7.4cm x 10.5cm)
A7 Mini is perfect for a compact Save the Date.

Full Size: A6 (approx. 10.5cm x 14.8cm)
A6 is the most popular standard size.

Large: 5 x 7 inches (approx. 12.7cm x 17.8cm)
5 x 7 inches gives a larger, more statement style card.

Please note that mini C7 envelopes cannot be personalised.

Once we receive your order we will process and dispatch any Generic Sample orders so you can see the design, card and foiling quality in person.

If you choose a Personalised Sample, a member of our design team will create a digital proof using the details you have provided, usually within 2 working days. The proof will be emailed to you so you can check the layout and confirm everything is correct before we produce your sample. Unlike many companies, we do not limit the number of changes you can make to your proofs within reason. Once you are happy with the design, we will proceed with printing your personalised sample.

Should you subsequently decide to place a full order, you can save time by referring to your previous proof. We will simply create updated proofs to reflect the final quantity ordered and any additional changes before sending them for your approval prior to printing.
