As with your invitations, each card is individually pressed by hand using a traditional foil blocking technique to produce the most beautiful, sophisticated touch of luxury. With various colours available to complement your foiled design, we can create beautiful bespoke stationery that will instantly Wow your guests.
We use foil blocking / hot foil stamping to press stunning foil detail onto your cards. Not to be confused with the more affordable digital foiling, this traditional foiling is all done by hand to create a unique finish. It requires specialist printing equipment and a lot of time and patience as they are printed one at a time. As with your wedding invitations, the imprint leaves a tactile impression that, coupled with the foil, catches the light, and draws the eye to it. We create these to match but you also have the flexibility of choosing a different card colour and size.

Like with letterpress, a custom metal block or die is created and used to imprint text and/or design onto paper or card. Instead of using ink as with letterpress, a thin foil film is positioned between the die and the card. When pressed and heated, a bond is formed, and the foil is pressed onto the card. This provides a beautiful, slightly de-bossed, shiny metallic imprint. Because foil is opaque, it can be printed on dark papers with no show through. The contrasting card texture, imprint, and shiny or matt foiling bring your stationery to life.

Please note that this listing is not for invitations or a stand-alone product. It is only for additional cards to accompany an invitation order. In order to provide quantity discounts, invitations, and additional cards such as RSVP, Gift Message etc are separate listings. WHAT DESIGN & TEXT CAN I HAVE?
Each die/block is the full size of the card you order. The entire card is pressed from that one block. It is custom made and therefore unique to your order. You tell us what you’d like to have on the card, and we’ll create it. You can even include your own monogram or logo if you like.

MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY
Initial setup costs for traditional block foiling are high as metal dies need to be made and the machine has to be calibrated to each individual design. As with invitations, we have a minimum order quantity of 30 for each variation (e.g., RSVP Card, Gift Message etc.)! The higher the quantity, the lower the price as initial costs are spread out more! If you need 2 variations of one type of card, please select Other or one of the other options before adding it to your basket so that it is kept separate. Don’t worry, you can still word it any way you like.

VARIATIONS EXPLAINED
CHOOSE VARIATION
Each variation must be added to your basket separately as there is one die block made per variation (e.g., RSVP Day, Gift Message, Other). Please ensure you select a unique variation for each item added to your basket.

INVITATIONS
This listing is not for invitations so please use an invite listing if you wish to order day or evening invitations. In order to give quantity discounts for all cards, we have created separate listings for invites and the accompanying additional cards. For example, if you would like an Invitation and an RSVP card, you’d use both an invitation listing and an RSVP card listing. This means you have more flexibility over the size, card colour, and quantities.

SELECT CARD SIZE
Choose the size you’d like your card to be from a Standard A6 through Medium 5x7” to Large A5.

SELECT CARD COLOUR
As well as our smooth range of white and ivory card, we also use beautiful coloured Colorplan card from G.F. Smith. Their stunning range of dyed papers give a vibrant finish but also ensure the back and edges of your card are the same colour. Our range of foils create a beautiful contrast. We have chosen a few of our favourite colours to list here but others are available. Please get in touch if you are looking for something else and we’ll be able to quote you. You can select a colour to match your invitations or perhaps you’d prefer a contrasting colour, the choice is yours.

The foil colour will be the same as on your invitations.

ENVELOPE COLOUR
If you would like plain envelopes, simply click on the colour you would like. We’ve searched for a long time to find the best quality envelopes at affordable prices and are really happy with what we now stock. If you do need a different colour, let us know and we’ll see what we can find.

If you would like envelopes with a matching foil imprint, these will need to be ordered separately. Please contact us for details.
*Premium White Peel & Seal Envelopes cannot come with envelope liners as they are a different shape. If you would like white envelopes with envelope liners, please select the Standard V-flap White.

As with card stock, manufacturers do occasionally change availability without prior notice or sadly go into administration. Card and paper supplies can therefore change without warning or be unavailable. Colour shades can also vary from batch to batch. We will let you know if something suddenly becomes unavailable.

ADDRESSED RSVP ENVELOPES: You have the option of having a return address pre-printed onto your envelopes. Please note that all printing is done digitally and can only be done on a light background. Dark envelopes such as Black, Navy, Claret, and Forest Green cannot be personalised.

MATCHING ENVELOPE LINERS: Envelope liners can be customised to match your design. Or pick any other design from our website to compliment your invitation design. Please note that they do not come with foiling.

MATCHING STICKERS: We can create matching stickers to add that little extra something to the invitation envelopes. Stickers do not come with foiling.

This is where you can write any notes about your order. If you prefer you can email it to us afterwards at your convenience. Any attachments or images will need to be emailed to us separately.

QUANTITY
In order to keep costs down we have a minimum order quantity of 30 for each variation (each block or die is unique)! Should you ever need reprints, please contact us for a separate quote.

A5 is the largest and twice the size of A6
5x7” is our medium size
A6 is the smallest and is half of an A5

5x7” envelope fits a 5x7” card
C6 envelope fits an A6 card

‘Create’ your invite pack yourself by selecting all the elements you require from the various listings. Click on the information button for details of each option or check the Product Information tab where everything is explained in great detail. Either include the information for your cards with the order or email it to us afterwards at your convenience. PROOFS
Once we receive your order a member of our design team will create electronic proofs using the information you have supplied usually within 2 - 3 working days although this can take slightly longer during busy periods. The proofs will be emailed to you. We do not limit the number of changes you can make to your proofs within reason. Once you are happy with them, let us know and we will send them to print. Once you have approved the proof, it cannot be changed so it is important you check it very carefully and that you are completely happy with the design. Please note that these are hand pressed so the design may not always be in the same precise position on every item as subtle movement can occur during pressing.

Nothing goes to print without your approval. If after placing an order you haven’t heard from us within 3 working days, please get in touch.

TURNAROUND
These take longer to produce as there are several processes to go through. First, we create the design. We then have a metal block made. Once the block/die arrives we can start the printing process. The cards are printed by hand, one at a time. Please allow a total of 3 weeks for them to be ready to dispatch. If you need them sooner, there is an option to add Priority Processing to the order during checkout. The order will then be processed as quickly as possible and be prioritised at each stage.

Please be aware that foil writing is always harder to read due to its beautiful shine. We are happy to put any information you like on the cards but do not take responsibility for them being hard to read. The more text that is added, the smaller the text, particularly on small cards. We recommend viewing proofs at actual size. We will advise you if we think there is too much text for a card. Feel free to email us before ordering if you are unsure.

Please note that once we send foiling orders to print, the order cannot be changed! By sending them to print you confirm that all the details are correct on the proofs. Proofs are final and you are responsible for checking each and every detail.

After you have approved your proof, we aim to dispatch your order within 4 - 15 working days, depending on your product type (please see individual product details for dispatch times). Samples are usually dispatched within 1 - 3 working days. Shipping times may vary due to bank holidays or during busy periods.

Royal Mail 2nd Class postage and a standard courier takes between 3-5 working days.  
Royal Mail 1st Class postage takes 2 – 3 working days.
*Next Day Delivery takes 1 or 2 working days (weekends & holidays excluded).

FAST TRACK ORDERS
*If you choose to add Priority Processing to your order, it will jump to the front of the queue and take priority. We will make sure that your order is processed as quickly as possible from proofs through to printing and dispatch. We will aim to prepare your proofs within 1 or 2 days and will also endeavour to dispatch your order within 1 – 2 full working days from approving your proofs.
